Staff were excellent and the location was ery good
The continuous friendly staff and atmosphere, the safety aspects were great being a single female with a child there.
it was ok, the staff was nice, it was really near to the shops, you only get what you pay for .
the top blanket had stains on it, room needs updating.
Very small single bed and old fashion bedding. Clean but old style decor and needs a refurb. However, great location if you have a meeting in Basingstoke with free car park and the staff also very friendly and quick to solve any problems. Just would like to see better bed, sheets, pillows etc. Would recommend if you get a double bed.
Room very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Staff very helpful
Room very warm but when window open very noisy. Wedding in full swing until late and nightlife outside loud.
Good English breakfast in pleasant restaurant
The breakfast and general bar/food facilitys. The location is good for the trainstation and the shopping cnetre.
The single bed was small. You can hear the people in the rooms either side of your room.
It was very conveniently located within walking distance of family, shops and several eating places.
It was not that easy to locate by car and, on our visit, very noisy fellow guests.
Very little was liked as my wife fell in the car park and broke her hip and is now in hospital
I did not like the tree branches on the car poark floor which caused the problem
Good 3 Star Hotel in convenient location for town centre with added advantage of on site free parking.
Very helpful and friendly staff, that accept children very well
Rooms could do with refurbishment in some areas (Bathrooms)
All the staff we met, on reception, bar/restaurant and cleaning staff were all friendly and polite. Also, we came for the weekend to do all our Christmas shopping, so the location, right opposite the Festival Centre, was excellent for our purposes.
If there was any criticism it would only be that the bathroom was a bit dated and the grout and fittings etc looked a bit shabby and old. It was very clean though.
Staff very friendly. very convenient for shops and theatre
The breakfast. not enough food coming out only appeared in dribs & drabs so had to keep getting up. The scrambled egg was not only cold it tasted like powdered egg.
I was pleased with the Hotel but was very disapointed as i had a young baby of 10mths and was at the back of the hotel and was kept away most of the night where there was a club playing loud music and there was no staff there who could have moved us so I won't be recommed this hotel to anyone or be staying there again.
The hotel is conviniently located for one who wants to spend the evening at the Anvil which is where we were headed. The rooms although not at all luxurious were comfortable. The money we spent on the evening including the show and hotel made it affordable and we will be back
Duvets would be preferable to the blankets we were issued
